Why did I start this running thing in the first place? Let's see....so far I am able to run 3 miles consistently without wanting to keel over and lay on the ground. That's not so good when I have high hopes for the Cherry Blossom 10-miler coming up the first weekend in April.
I ran 4.5 miles last weekend - and thought I had definitely run at least 6 miles....not so much.
Maybe running isn't my gig? I am going to push on through this month and keep on trying to hit my 8 mile goal - but my body keeps asking me "why"? Looking into a road bike, and hiking sounds like activities more up my alley!
I'll keep you updated though. Turns out if you can't maintain a 14 minute mile in the Cherry Blossom 10-miler (14 minute mile is almost like a walk, right?) they cut you off at the 5K mark and make you board a bus to go back to the finish line...I swear if I see the bus or anyone trying to put me in the bus - I will quickly turn off the race course and pretend I never started!
Thanks again to everyone that made it out to our 2nd Kilimanjaro HH in Courthouse, VA last week! We are excited to combine forces with Clayton and Elise next month to do one big team happy hour event.
My shins are not happy from my recent attempt at running. Time to rest!
